ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. This position is located in a busy, high-acuity environment, which requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Job Details

• Unit Information: High acuity units with 12-13 beds.
• Patient Ratios: 1:2, with occasional 1:1 assignments.
• Common Diagnoses: Heart and lung transplants, LVAD patients, and valve surgeries.
• Equipment: Utilization of advanced medical devices including LVAD, CRRT, SLED, Impella, and IABP.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips for cardiac patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including intensivists and respiratory therapists who are available 24/7.
• Participate in unit-based orientation with preceptors over 2-3 shifts.
• May be required to float to other units based on competency and needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an ICU setting.
• Experience in a busy hospital environment is preferred.
• EPIC electronic health record system proficiency is required.
• CRRT experience is preferred; training will be provided.
• Must possess necessary certifications as an experienced ICU RN.

Scheduling Requirements

• 12-hour shifts scheduled based on unit needs.
• Every other weekend commitment required.
• Must be willing to work holidays as needed.
• No self-scheduling; flexibility on shift assignments is necessary.

• Staff will be required to wear teal scrubs while on duty.
