Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the recovery of adult patients post-surgery in a high-volume and high-acuity environment. This position requires a strong ability to work in a fast-paced nursing setting and a commitment to effective teamwork.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Rotating Day/Eve/Night shifts
• Holidays and weekends may be required
• On-call and call-back as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent post-operative care to adult patients.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and recovery progress.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude within the unit.

Qualifications

• Valid RN License in New York.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience is required.
• Experience in a PACU setting is required.
• ICU experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and independent working skills are essential.

Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
