Urology Medical Assistant (MA-C or MA-R)

This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity for a Urology Medical Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a procedural-heavy clinic setting such as Urology, Otolaryngology, or Dermatology. Candidates willing to transition to a permanent role following a successful contract period are encouraged to apply.

Schedule

• Work Schedule: 4x9hr + 1x4hr (Monday – Friday)
• Regular Days:
  • 4 days per week from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 1 day per week from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (this half-day will alternate based on the physician’s operating room schedule)
• Floating Requirement: Must float to another clinic location (Ravenna) on Mondays.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Record patients’ history, medications, and allergies.
• Assist with various procedures including:
  • Cystoscopy
  • Prostate Biopsy
  • Bladder Scanning (PVRS)
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures.
• Label and prepare specimens for collection.
• Room patients and ensure a smooth flow during examination.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient setting is required.
• Experience in procedural-heavy specialties is preferred.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation and no scheduling restrictions.
• First-time applicants are welcome.

Patient Care Focus

Responsibilities will include direct patient interaction with a focus on general urology cases.

Additional Information

• Attire: Scrubs will be provided.
• Charting System: Experience with EPIC is preferred.
