Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic clinical environment focused on the care of critically ill newborns.

Position Overview

• Contract duration options of 13 weeks or 26 weeks.
• Shift availability for 36 or 48 hours per week, with day shifts scheduled as 4×12 hours (07:00 – 19:00).
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required, with expectations to work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.
• The unit operates under a self-scheduling model, with flexibility to accommodate schedule preferences as feasible.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care to patients within the NICU setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and provide therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in a Level 4 NICU.
• Cardiac PICU experience is preferred.
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, and NRP.
• ACCS certification is preferred.
• Must hold a valid state license, with the possibility of submitting with a pending Virginia license, provided a temporary license is obtained prior to the start date.
