Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing exceptional respiratory care to patients in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Contract Details

• Contract duration: 13 weeks or 26 weeks
• Start date: November
• Available shifts: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Scheduling: Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
• Winter holidays: Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality respiratory care in a NICU setting.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in a self-scheduling model, accommodating staff preferences when possible.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 4 NICU experience.
• Cardiac PICU experience is preferred.
• Current RRT certification required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• ACCS certification preferred.
• Must hold a valid VA license pending, or have obtained a temporary license prior to start; an additional state license is needed to qualify for the temporary license.
