Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the NICU department. This role involves providing high-quality respiratory care to neonates and pediatric patients. The position offers opportunities for both 36 and 48 hours per week, with night shifts available.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care to patients in a neonatal intensive care unit.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage in self-scheduling, as guided by management, while working to accommodate personal scheduling preferences.

Work Schedule

• Night shift: 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00).
• Every other weekend and holiday are required.
• Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 4 NICU experience.
• Cardiac PICU experience is preferred.
• RRT certification, BLS, and NRP are required.
• ACCS certification is preferred.
• Eligibility for Virginia state licensure pending, with the ability to obtain a temporary license prior to start, provided that another state license is held.
