Respiratory Therapist (RRT-NICU)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist with NICU experience to join our team. This position involves working night shifts in a self-scheduling model, where we strive to accommodate preferences while maintaining operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
• Participate in self-scheduling, with flexibility regarding shift preferences.
• Ensure compliance with protocol and guidelines related to respiratory therapy.
• Work effectively every other weekend and holiday, including two of the three winter holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RRT certification required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Experience working in a Level 4 NICU environment is mandatory.
• Cardiac PICU experience is preferred.
• ACCS certification is a plus.
• Ability to submit with a pending VA license, provided a temporary license can be obtained before start date. Must hold another state license to be eligible for a temporary license.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours each night, with options for either 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required, along with a commitment to work during winter holidays.
