Radiation Therapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Radiation Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and have proficiency in Mosaiq EMR. This role requires compassion in patient care, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Flexibility, dependability, and attention to detail are essential traits for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Mosaiq EMR.
• Ensure the safe operation of radiation equipment.
• Provide compassionate support to patients throughout the treatment process.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Technology or equivalent is preferred.
• Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience in radiologic technology is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) is required.
• State certification in Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RTT) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is preferred.
• Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a day shift schedule, with hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.
