Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role involves utilizing evidence-based practices and administering a variety of therapeutic interventions.

Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practices to support clinical interventions.
• Provide skilled treatment interventions to patients per regulatory and clinical guidelines.
• Administer therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as needed in coordination with the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Consult and counsel patients, family members, and caregivers regarding physical disorders.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient treatment plans and progress.
• Contribute to discharge summaries and other documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Record treatment minutes and maintain patient records as per company policy.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and required trainings.
• Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Adhere to professional practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics as required for a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in Long Term Care or Rehabilitation settings.
• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of practice.
• Recent graduates may be considered if they have completed Level II clinical experiences.

Work Schedule

This position will require working Monday through Friday for 8-hour shifts. Start times are flexible but must be communicated in advance. No weekend or on-call duties are required.
