Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive patient care in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring patient status, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and assess patient health and report any changes to the medical team.
• Administer medications and treatment as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-hospital care.

Shift Details

This position offers options for various shift patterns, including:

• 4×12 hour shifts
• 3×12 hour shifts
• 2×12 hour shifts

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state nursing license.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to starting.
• At least 12 months of permanent experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing.
• A recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the relevant specialty is required for submission. Charge RN references are accepted.

Assessment Requirements

During orientation, the candidate will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment, both of which require an acceptable score for continued employment.
