Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Details

This position offers a contract lasting either 13 or 26 weeks with a start date in November. Nurses will be scheduled for night shifts, with potential assignments including 36-hour or 48-hour workweeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a clinical setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Scheduling Requirements

• Work at least three weekends within a six-week scheduling period.
• Availability required for two out of the three winter holidays.
• No time off will be approved for the first two weeks of the assignment.
• A maximum of 40 hours off can be approved throughout the assignment.
• Time off around Christmas cannot be accommodated.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be in hand at the time of submission.
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required; candidates may apply with this certification pending (cost for certification is $200).
• A Virginia nursing license is acceptable if pending at the time of submission.
