Cath Lab Technologist

Assignment Overview

This assignment is for a Cath Lab Technologist to provide services for a duration of 13 or 26 weeks, with an immediate start date. The preferred shift is 4×10 hours during the day.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
• Assist in various catheterizations, including STEMI, IABP, and Impella procedures.
• Support interventional radiology tasks such as lines, drains, and embolizations.
• Engage in neurointervention tasks and CRM device implants.
• Float within the scope of practice to assist in IR and EP as needed.

Shift and Scheduling

Work 10-hour shifts from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, with some Saturday shifts incorporated into the regular schedule. Participation in on-call duties is required one shift per week and every fourth weekend.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT (R) or RCIS is required.
• Experience in electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and vascular procedures is essential.
• Skills in monitoring and neuro intervention are necessary.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CTO, peripherals, and venous access.
• Ability to interpret rhythms.
• Familiarity with Philips X-Ray systems and a variety of atherectomy and thrombectomy devices.
• Experience with temporary LVAD support.
• Knowledge of McKesson for cath lab and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP procedures.

Additional Information

This is a no-block schedule position. Local candidates will not be accepted; applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.

Time off requests will be considered on an individual basis and limited to one request per 13-week assignment.

Guaranteed hours are 70 hours per two weeks; however, travelers may be called off for one 10-hour shift per two weeks.
