Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery team. This position requires a dedicated professional with the ability to deliver compassionate care to patients during the childbirth process and in various situations unique to obstetrics.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive patient care during labor and delivery, adhering to established protocols and standards.
Monitor and assess the health and progress of expectant mothers and their newborns.
Actively collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist in obstetric and gynecological surgeries as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using MediTech EHR.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated with the latest practices in labor and delivery.

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Kentucky.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery.
Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS.
Experience in charge nursing is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is situated in a supportive environment with a focus on patient and staff well-being. The unit is equipped with 8 private beds, ensuring a comfortable setting for patients and their families.

Schedule

Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend requirements: Every other weekend or as needed.
