ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in critical care nursing and demonstrate exceptional clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a blended ICU environment.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, implementing care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Participate in patient float requirements as necessary.
• Document patient information accurately using electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure and requisite certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIH).
• Minimum of two years of experience in ICU or critical care nursing.
• Strong understanding of common diagnoses and treatments in ICU settings, including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, and others.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress situations.

Unit Information

• 16-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2.
• Utilizes Baxter pumps and Medhost for electronic record-keeping.

Working Conditions

Shifts will consist of 3×12 hour schedules. Weekend hours and call requirements will be determined based on unit needs.

Additional Notes

This position requires travel experience and adaptability to varying patient care environments. The clinical team is focused on delivering exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of medical needs.
