Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical/Tele

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical and Telemetry units for a travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care settings, as well as the ability to float between departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients.
• Monitor patients with remote telemetry systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Assist with patient assessments and evaluations.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.

Requirements

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• At least 2 completed travel assignments are required.
• Floating between Medical Surgical and Telemetry departments is mandated.

Work Schedule

The position requires a day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. The schedule will vary based on the needs of the unit, including floating as necessary, and some weekends and holidays are required.

Duration

This is a 13-week travel assignment, with an opportunity for extension based on performance and unit needs.
