Registered Nurse (Telemetry)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients with cardiac conditions, managing ventilated patients, and demonstrating proficiency in tracheostomy management.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide care for patients on ventilators and manage tracheostomy tubes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and recovery processes.
• Assist with all aspects of patient care in telemetry and med-surg units.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certification is required.
• Ability to float between telemetry and med-surg units as needed.
• Experience with ventilated patients and tracheostomy management is essential.

Work Schedule

This position requires a day shift schedule of 3×12-hour shifts, with a ratio of 1:4. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Scheduling preferences will be considered based on manager discretion.
