Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with home health experience to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in their homes, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, completing evaluations and treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Conduct Start of Care (SOC) visits, Recertifications (ROC), and ongoing assessments.
• Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document patient treatments and progress in compliance with established protocols.
• Maintain timely communication with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Prior experience in home health care and familiarity with Home Care Home Base systems.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Experience Requirements

While first-time travelers are welcome, prior experience in a similar home health setting is preferred. Recent graduates may not be considered for this position.

Support and Orientation

The selected candidate will have access to a Clinical Manager or Educator who is available 24/7 for emergency support, with regular hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. Initial orientation will include two weeks of training with a preceptor and a few patient visits to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Work Schedule

Shifts will typically consist of five 8-hour days. Candidates should be prepared to work weekends on a rotating schedule, and participation in holiday rotation is expected.

Dressing Code

The dress code allows for scrubs or business casual attire, providing flexibility to the staff.
