Job Description
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
This position is a high-priority staffing need for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on both critical care and telemetry.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe patient care.
- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Guide and direct patient/family education as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, maintaining high standards of care.
- Monitor changes in patient clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and responses to treatment.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, particularly in critical care settings.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification is preferred.
- Experience with strip interpretation and titration of drips is essential.
- COVID vaccination/boosters are preferred.
- Ability to float between ICU and telemetry as needed.
Onboarding and Credentialing Requirements
- Completion of essential onboarding education and verification.
- Undergo a thorough drug screening and background check.
- Provide required immunization history and health statements.
- Submit personal identification, including a driver’s license or state ID.
- Provide a valid Social Security card.
