Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is a high-priority staffing need for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to provide safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on both critical care and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe patient care.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Guide and direct patient/family education as well as the activities of other nursing personnel, maintaining high standards of care.
• Monitor changes in patient clinical conditions, including hemodynamic monitoring and responses to treatment.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, particularly in critical care settings.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification is preferred.
• Experience with strip interpretation and titration of drips is essential.
• COVID vaccination/boosters are preferred.
• Ability to float between ICU and telemetry as needed.

Onboarding and Credentialing Requirements

• Completion of essential onboarding education and verification.
• Undergo a thorough drug screening and background check.
• Provide required immunization history and health statements.
• Submit personal identification, including a driver’s license or state ID.
• Provide a valid Social Security card.
