Registered Nurse (RN)

Contract Details

This is an option for a 13 to 26-week contract.

Shift: Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15; 3 shifts per week.

Weekend coverage is required every other week.

Floats may be required, depending on the needs of the unit and individual skills.

Staffing Ratios

• Nights: 1 nurse to 6 patients

Patient Population

Care is provided primarily to adults and geriatrics with a range of diagnoses, including:

• Stroke/TIA
• Seizures
• Syncope
• Pneumonia
• Chest Pain
• Dialysis
• Acute Kidney Failure
• Post Heart Catheterization
• Respiratory Failure
• Encephalopathy
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Sepsis

Unit Information

This unit specializes in inpatient care for stroke and TIA patients. Higher acuity medical-surgical patients are also accommodated. The unit is dedicated to enhancing patient experience and offers procedures such as peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Required Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a relevant nursing role.
• Current active RN license in Tennessee.
• EPIC experience is required (minimum of 1 year).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are mandatory.
• First-time travelers are not eligible.
