Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This position requires strong clinical expertise, particularly in critical care settings, and offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including surgical and trauma cases.

Schedule

• Day shift required on Saturdays and Sundays
• Plus one additional day per week
• Total weekly hours: 36

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Surgical ICU
• Utilize clinical judgment to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately using Epic

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Experience in Surgical ICU, Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, or Transplant ICU preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Ohio nursing license required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Floating between units may be required

Skills and Tools

• Experience with medication systems such as Pyxis, Accudose, and Omnicell
• Effective communication skills, utilizing SBAR methodology
