Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process. This role involves supervising and directing the activities of assigned nursing staff while collaborating with other healthcare disciplines. The position requires critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment in daily tasks.
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
- Collecting relevant data pertaining to the patient’s health situation.
- Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
- Developing care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
- Implementing care plans and coordinating care delivery to promote health and ensure a safe environment.
- Evaluating and tracking progress toward achieving patient outcomes.
- Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide supportive care in a healing environment.
- Providing educational opportunities for patients, families, and team members.
- Participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegating tasks appropriately and coordinating duties among healthcare team members.
- Performing additional job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
Work Environment
This position involves night shifts, typically consisting of 12-hour shifts with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Experience in labor and delivery, postpartum care, and level 2 nursery is preferred.
