ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role focuses on providing high-quality care in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit environment.

• Shift: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Unit Information

• Unit Type: ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
• Number of Beds: 12 (6 CCU and 6 PCU)
• Patient Ratios: 1:2 for CCU and 1:3-4 for PCU
• Common Diagnoses: Sepsis, respiratory distress, overdose/ETOH withdrawal, DKA
• Nurse Aids: Available on the unit

Responsibilities

• Titrate intravenous drips including Levophed, insulin, dopamine, and heparin.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, providing necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize and manage respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a critical care setting preferred.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS.
• Titration Skills: Experience required in titrating drips.
• Telemetry: Familiarity with monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms.

Scheduling and Requirements

• Shifts: Self-scheduling with a 6-week schedule available.
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
• Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday during the contract period.
• Floating Requirement: Possible to Medsurg, or ER if experienced.
• Orientation: General facility orientation followed by 1-2 days on the unit.

Dress Code

Scrubs should be navy blue in color.
