Adult Outpatient Mental Health Supervisor

Job Description

As an Adult Outpatient Mental Health Supervisor, you will oversee all administrative and clinical functions of the mental health program. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the effective delivery of services to the community’s client populations and institutions. You will have the opportunity for flexible scheduling, and some evenings or weekends may be required based on program needs. Additionally, you will provide after-hours coverage for crisis calls to support program staff as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the administrative and clinical operations of the mental health program.
• Ensure effective service delivery to clients and community institutions.
• Provide crisis intervention support during after-hours as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a supportive and integrated approach to client care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
• Active professional license from the state (LMSW, LPC, or LLP).
• A minimum of three years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
• Experience in a community mental health setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated competence in individual, family, and group mental health or substance abuse treatment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity toward diverse client needs.
• Ability to effectively handle crisis situations.

Working Conditions

This position requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, with regular working hours scheduled from Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 7 PM, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Mileage reimbursement will be provided for travel-related to program needs using a personal vehicle, in accordance with IRS standards.
