Registered Nurse (RN)
Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care to patients within the Comprehensive Liver Care Unit-Intermediate Care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient health, with a focus on liver transplant and care initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess nursing expertise and a passion for supporting patients through their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to individuals with liver disorders, including pre- and post-transplant care.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and overall health status.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, managing patient responses and side effects.
- Educate patients and their families about liver health, treatment options, and post-transplant care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in liver care and transplant protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or related specialty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Schedule
This position requires night shifts working three 12-hour days. Flexibility and availability to work weekends and holidays are essential.
