Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Position Overview

• Role: RN
• Specialty: Telemetry
• Shift: Nights, 1900 – 0700
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours (to be specified)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios: Days 1:5-1:6, Nights 1:6-1:7 (ratios may vary)
• Equipment: Telemetry, lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps
• EMR: EPIC

Qualifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN License (eligible for licensure in Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri)
• Required Certifications: BLS from AHA only; NIHSS (completion required prior to start)
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in telemetry nursing in an inpatient setting
• Preferred Skills: Competence in drug titration and experience with patients exhibiting developmental delays

The candidate should possess traits such as determination, decisiveness, and flexibility to adapt to the dynamic environment of patient care.

Dress Code

• Scrub Color: Black
• Unacceptable Attire: Anything other than black scrubs

Additional Notes

• Weekend hours may be required as per facility needs.
• Rotational floating may be necessary based on unit requirements.
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be made up at the end of the assignment and will not be approved during the first week.
• Holiday RTO requests are limited to 1 per assignment.
• Night shift nurses will orient on day shift and must be available for the entire orientation week.
