Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical unit. The position involves providing high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across all ages.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage patient assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using an electronic health record system.
• Participate in patient and family education and support.
• Assist with procedures and treatments as required.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Electronic Health Record: Meditech
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend or as needed.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure to practice in the state.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred; 2+ years in Medical Surgical nursing is a plus.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NIH, and other relevant certifications.
• Strong professional demeanor and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe environment, all staff are subject to random drug screening and must complete a criminal questionnaire/consent form.

Dress Code

Scrubs are the required attire; color is flexible, but casual wear is not permitted.

Orientation Schedule

Orientation is held bi-weekly on Tuesdays. Candidates must be at least 60 miles away to be eligible for travel assignments.
