Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients facing communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. This role adheres to state and federal regulatory guidelines and serves as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience

• Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
• Two years of experience in speech-language pathology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
• American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP): Required

Essential Functions

• Reviews patient information prior to evaluations and throughout the treatment process.
• Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
• Assists in collecting data on patient outcomes.
• Instructs and directs support staff as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
• Supervises assistants and support staff.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
