Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. This position requires a high level of expertise in various specialties, particularly in robotic surgeries using the Davinci xi and DV5 robots.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care in the Operating Room across multiple specialties including Robotics, Orthopedics, General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, and Thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart).
• Assist in scrubbing and circulating procedures as needed.
• Monitor and manage patient care preoperatively and postoperatively.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Be flexible and available to work holidays, weekends, and floating shifts as required by the unit.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is necessary.
• Proficient in operating Davinci xi and DV5 robots.
• Ability to function independently in all required specialties.
• Must be able to respond to calls within a 30-minute timeframe.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is essential.

• Willingness to care for COVID patients when necessary.

Schedule Requirements:

• Availability to work 3-4 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
• Will work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day) when contracted over these dates.
