Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical procedures and be capable of delivering top-notch patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with 2 weekdays and 1 weekend on call.
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Experience Required: 2 years in an Operating Room setting

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room
• Number of Beds: 67
• Operating Rooms: 4 ORs and 1 procedure room
• Average Cases per Day: 15-22
• Surgical Experience Areas: General surgery, orthopedic fractures and scopes, plastics, gastroenterology, urology, pediatric dental, surgical oncology

Required Certifications

• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA, if performing pediatric cases)

Orientation and Training

The orientation consists of one week of on-unit training combined with healthstream virtual education.

Additional Requirements

• Flu vaccine is mandatory. Only medical exemptions with documented evidence of a past severe reaction will be accepted.
• Fingerprinting is required. Remote processing can take up to 10 days. In-person fingerprinting must be done at designated locations prior to starting.
• No requirement to scrub and circulate.
• Travelers must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule. Local candidates are welcome to apply.
