Operating Room Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Shift Details

• Days: Monday-Friday
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Schedule: 2 weekdays and 1 weekend per month

Unit Information

• Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Beds: 67
• OR Rooms: 4 ORs and 1 procedure room
• Average Cases per Day: 15-22

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room.
• Assist with various surgical procedures including general, ortho fractures, scopes, plastics, GI, urology, pediatric dental, and surgical oncology.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to physiological changes during procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting.
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (if involved in pediatric cases).

Additional Information

• The candidate must comply with a flu vaccine requirement, with exemptions accepted only for documented medical reasons.
• A fingerprinting requirement is mandated and can be completed either remotely or in-person on designated dates.
• No need to scrub and circulate as an RN.
• No floating to other units will be required.

Orientation

New hires will undergo a comprehensive one-week orientation process, which includes on-unit training alongside healthstream virtual education.
