ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a night shift schedule. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced intensive care environment.

Position Details

• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Rotate in with core staff, working 2 of the 3 major holidays
• EMR: Cerner
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and interpret patients’ vital signs and EKG strips.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including Hospitalists and Intensivists.
• Assist with the implementation of treatment plans and modifications as necessary.
• Participate in patient education and support families during critical situations.
• Float to sister facilities and MedSurg unit as needed.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU setting
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • PALS (AHA)
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips.
• Experience with ventilator management is required.

Additional Information

• 12-hour night shifts with report taken at the bedside.
