ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. This position involves providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must possess the ability to manage complex patient needs and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and necessary.
• Assist in complex procedures and interventions as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Participate in rounding and collaborative care planning.
• Float to sister facilities and other units as required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Skills: Must be proficient in reading and interpreting EKG strips and managing patients on ventilators.
• Education: Current RN license required.

Additional Information

• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 patient to nurse ratios.
• Team Support: Charge nurse support available; nurse aides will assist as needed.
• Weekends: Required every other weekend.
• Holidays: Rotational coverage required for major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.
• Orientation: 1-2 days of orientation on the floor with a preceptor are provided.
• Work Environment: ICU has a horseshoe layout with an adjacent PACU.
