Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Responsibilities include supervising and directing nursing staff activities, coordinating care with other disciplines, and utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment.

Essential Functions

• Collect relevant health data pertinent to the patient’s situation.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
• Develop a comprehensive care plan with prescribed interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Implement the care plan, coordinate delivery of care, and promote health and safety.
• Evaluate patient progress toward achieving outcomes.
• Identify and set outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation.
• Collaborate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and compassionate care.
• Provide educational opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
• Directly communicate health information to patients and treatment teams.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Delegate responsibilities and coordinate duties among healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Acute care facility experience preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts, specifically working three 12-hour shifts per week. Holiday time off requests are not approved. Previous experience with EPIC is required.
