Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray

Job Description

This position involves providing mobile X-Ray and EKG (if applicable) services to nursing homes, health care facilities, and other miscellaneous locations. The role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform and process X-Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and transmit results to a Radiologist for interpretation.
• Unload portable X-Ray equipment upon arrival at facilities to conduct exams as ordered by the physician, ensuring clinically diagnostic and technically competent images are captured.
• If required, perform EKGs and transmit findings to a Cardiologist for interpretation.
• Scan exam-related paperwork and billing documents daily according to established protocols.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch and management.
• Engage professionally and efficiently with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
• Maintain the vehicle and X-Ray equipment in good working condition.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include pushing or pulling equipment that may weigh between 50 to 100 lbs. While ramps and pulleys can assist in managing this weight, handling equipment within facilities or homes can increase the required force. On average, a Radiologic Technologist may exert 50 lbs of force or more multiple times throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Maintain required State licenses and ARRT Certification.
• Hold a valid driver’s license in good standing.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required; exemptions must be documented.
