Physical Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team. This role requires providing high-quality care to both inpatient and outpatient populations. You will work collaboratively with other rehabilitation professionals, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient evaluations, treatment progress, and outcomes in electronic medical records using Cerner Powerchart.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate care and enhance the rehabilitation process.
• Possibly float to different areas of service based on patient needs and departmental requirements.
• Supervise and guide rehabilitation aides, occupational therapy assistants, and physical therapy assistant learners as needed.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Unit Details

• Working within a unit that includes Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy.
• Number of patients treated per day may vary: up to 9 for outpatient, up to 13 for inpatient, with rehab varying based on assigned area.
• Common diagnoses include orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, neurological conditions, trauma, and cardiac disorders.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with preference given to candidates with travel and trauma experience.
• BLS Certification is required.

Dress Code

Employees are required to wear a maroon polo shirt, dark-colored pants, and closed-toed shoes. A lab coat is optional.

Additional Notes

• Holidays are not required to be worked.
• Expect to receive 1.5 days of orientation specific to the unit and its processes.
• Candidates with inpatient clinical experience may be considered without the full year of experience if they meet other qualifications.
