GI Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in the GI Lab, particularly in Operating Room (OR) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) settings. The ideal candidate must be capable of taking on call duties and floating to other facilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the GI Lab.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in call rotation, requiring availability 4-5 days per month.
• Oversee and manage patient care during procedures in the GI Lab.
• Assist with necessary floating to other facilities when required.

Shift Details

Shifts are available in rotating schedules, including:

• 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Weekend shifts are required, approximately one weekend every other month, varying based on need.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in GI Lab, OR, or PACU is required.
• 1 year of experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system is mandatory.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Previous travelers will not be considered for this position.

Medication Systems

Familiarity with medication dispensing systems, such as Pyxis and Omnicell, is essential.
