MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate should possess an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology, along with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) being a favorable addition. The successful applicant will efficiently operate MRI machines, ensure patient comfort before and during scanning procedures, and collaborate with physicians to guarantee prompt delivery of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and physical stamina to stand for extended periods is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to enhance their comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for specific tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform necessary patient care tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an MRI technologist role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
• GE scanner experience is mandatory for consideration.
• Experience within a Level 1 trauma center is preferred.
• ARRT certification is essential.
• Injection certification required for consideration.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license is required, with a willingness to obtain this after starting the position.
