MRI Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology, along with certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Strong operational skills in handling MRI machines and ensuring patient comfort during scanning procedures are essential. The technologist will also coordinate with physicians to deliver timely results and must be knowledgeable about medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods is a requirement.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians for diagnostic imaging requirements.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate anxiety.
• Administer IVs when necessary for imaging tests.
• Document procedures while upholding patient confidentiality.
• Perform patient care tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• GE scanner experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
• ARRT certification is required.
• Injection certification is mandatory.
• New York State Radiologic Technologist license—must be willing to obtain after hiring.
