Registered Nurse (RN) – Psych

Position Information

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Behavioral Health to join our team. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and development within a supportive environment.

Unit Profile

• Department: Behavioral Health
• Number of Openings: 1
• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Call Requirements: No call
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in a Psych role
• Patient Ratios: 1:14
• Equipment Used: Code Cart, Pyxis, EKG, Vitals Machine, Glucometer
• EHR: Wellsky
• Patient Population: Adults

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Behavioral Health setting.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to meet patient needs.
• Assist with patient admissions and be able to float between patient floors and the admissions department as needed.
• Utilize de-escalation skills to manage challenging situations effectively.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: Active RN License, BLS (must be AHA), CPI/HWC
• Required Education: ADN or higher with an active RN license
• Must Have Skills: Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Preferred Experience: 1-year experience in a psychiatric nursing role.
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Level 1, Voluntary, Detox, and Behavioral Health Unit.

Scrub Color: Royal Blue or any darker shade of blue.
