Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN)

Position Overview

The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing various cardiac procedures, including coronary device implants and ablations. This role requires a strong focus on patient assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients undergoing pacemaker, ICD, and other coronary device implants.
• Assist with diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and ablations, including VT, PVC, AFib, and Aflutter.
• Utilize advanced mapping and ablation technologies such as Biosense Webster CARTO and Abbott Precision.
• Implement cryoablation techniques for certain AFib procedures.
• Manage temporary pacing and support for lead extractions with surgical assistance.
• Monitor patients using GE CardioLab systems to ensure safety and efficacy during procedures.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 4×10-hour shifts, Days (0700-1730)
• Variable days off
• No weekend requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, specifically in an electrophysiology lab setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Open to first-time travelers.
• No on-call responsibilities; however, may assist with “Late Stay” cases as needed.
• Local candidates are welcome to apply.
• RTO restrictions: Maximum of 1 week off.

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided for OR personnel; any color is acceptable.
• Floating may occur within the hospital, but not to sister facilities.
• Charting is conducted using EPIC.
• Parking costs $10.26 daily.
