Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU/Telemetry

Job Description

A healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Telemetry team. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients and facilitating their recovery while ensuring comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate assigned patients and develop, implement, and document nursing care plans.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications in accordance with nursing standards.
• Promote patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families on condition management, medication, and self-care skills.
• Handle cardiac drips and be familiar with specific procedures such as TAVRs and watchman mitral clips.
• Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• A minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Ability to float between multiple locations and departments as needed.
• Experience with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR) is required.
• Associates degree in Nursing is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Work Requirements

• Work a schedule consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, primarily on day shifts.
• Availability to work 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
• Must be able to adapt and float between multiple facilities as required.
