Anesthesia Technician

Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician will support the anesthesia team by ensuring the availability and functionality of anesthesia equipment, supplies, and technology. This role requires a strong focus on providing safe and efficient anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for use in surgical procedures.
• Assist in the setup and monitoring of anesthesia equipment during procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and hygiene standards in the anesthesia department.
• Collaborate with the anesthesia team to provide high-quality patient care.
• Participate in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance as necessary.
• Assist with patient transport and positioning as required.
• Document all relevant information in the electronic medical record system.

Work Schedule

This position requires flexibility and may involve:

• Block schedules with rotations between units.
• Day and night shifts, including weekends.
• Participation in on-call duties during nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Must have prior experience as an Anesthesia Technician or in a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records is preferred.
• Current certification or licensure as required by the state or institution.
