Respiratory Therapist (Allied)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) specialty. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with hours ranging from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and diagnostic services to patients in the NICU.
• Assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy within a NICU setting.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Georgia Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license and RRT certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Two professional references required.

Holiday Expectations

The Respiratory Therapist is required to work during the holiday season, specifically:

• 2 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day
• 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve
