Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with telemetry experience to join our dynamic team in a high-acuity neurology unit. The ideal candidate will possess at least one year of telemetry nursing experience and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment focused on neurology care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a heavy neuro unit, including post-surgical neurology patients and those with various neurological diagnoses.
• Utilize the NIH Stroke Scale for patient assessments and monitoring.
• Float between different units as necessary to ensure optimal patient care and staffing needs.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality nursing care.

Schedule & Requirements

• Night shift: 3×12 hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Weekend shifts required: Every other weekend
• On-call requirements: Not applicable
• Block schedules: Not required

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of telemetry nursing experience is required.
• Neurology nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory; candidates must be eager to learn.
• Comfortable assessing and caring for post-surgical neurology patients.
