Job Description

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) plays a vital role in providing basic nursing and restorative care within the facility’s established policies and procedures, under the supervision of LPNs and RNs.

Responsibilities

• Attend report prior to starting resident care and keep licensed personnel informed of significant observations regarding resident care and environmental conditions.
• Assist residents with all aspects of personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and dressing; administer specified skin care treatments according to facility protocol and the Resident Care Plan.
• Support residents in ambulation and movement, including range of motion, turning, positioning, and transferring; assist with nutritional needs and bodily waste management.
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and residents by reacting appropriately to emergency situations per facility policy, including fire drills and redirection of wandering residents.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy while adhering to established nursing standards and policies.
• Utilize infection control techniques at all times and respect the spiritual beliefs of residents, encouraging their participation in care to the extent of their physical and mental capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 1 year of current experience as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
• Willingness to float to different units where experienced is required.
• Previous travel experience and experience in rural or small facilities are preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Active New Hampshire nursing license is mandatory at the time of submission.

Shift Details

• Availability for various shifts, including weekends, is required.
• 48 hours of work are guaranteed each week with a requirement to work every other weekend.
