Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team, providing essential care in a Level II NICU setting. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent experience in neonatal care and be passionate about offering rehabilitation support to neonates.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to neonates, focusing on feeding and positioning rehabilitation needs.
• Assist with the adult OT caseload in acute care or long-term care settings when NICU and pediatric caseloads are low.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement effective treatment plans.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Occupational Therapy license for Alaska.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a Level II NICU setting is essential.

Schedule & Time Off

The position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts, typically from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, and occasional evening shifts. Up to 14 days of time off can be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.

Housing & Travel Requirements

Free housing is provided for one occupant, although pet units are not available. Candidates must reside more than 50 miles outside of Fairbanks.
