Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a night shift position. This role requires a flexible schedule, as candidates will be working various shift lengths and days with no guarantee of hours or shift preference. The assignment will last for 13 weeks, with a scheduled 36 hours per week following the initial orientation week.

Requirements

• Must possess an active State of Hawaii nursing license by the start of the assignment.
• Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved application for a medical or religious exception is required prior to the contract start date.

General Job Duties

Roles and responsibilities include working in a medical unit, performing various nursing procedures, and using specific equipment such as:

• Meditech EMR
• Pyxis
• Wound vac
• Chest tubes

Qualifications

• 2-10 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary.

Additional Information

Candidates may be required to float to other units, including the Laulima Unit and the Cardiovascular Unit. The medical unit comprises 77 beds with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:6 during day and evening shifts and 1:8 during night shifts.

Dress Code

Professional nursing attire is required.

Orientation and Training

A department-specific training and orientation program will be provided for each unit.
