Physical Therapist (PT)

Unit: Rehabilitation (PT, OT, & Speech)

Shift Length: 10 hours

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Years of Experience Required: 2 Years

Required Certifications:

• BLS Certification
• COVID Vaccine Required

Shift Notes:

• 4 ten-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Every third weekend requirement, with the possibility of every other weekend
• Participation in holiday rotation

Scrub Color: Polo style shirt or a button-down long sleeve (burgundy in color) provided through vendor; solid dark pants. Scrubs are not permitted.

Staffing and Support:

• Charge Nurse: Manager available on weekdays
• Nurse Aides: Typically one on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays; two on Wednesdays through Saturdays
• Hospitalist or Intensivist available 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy available 24/7
• Pharmacy services available 24/7

Orientation: 8 hours of orientation for all modalities

Common Diagnoses and Patient Types:

• Cardiac
• Stroke (facility is stroke certified)
• Orthopedic
• ICU
• Neurology
• Medical/Surgical
• Pediatrics (low volume case load)
• Neonatal ICU (travelers are not required to work in NICU or Pediatrics)

Additional Notes: PT staff is provided coverage seven days a week. A team leader will be present when the manager is not available. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty and at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience. Open to first-time travelers.
