Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our endoscopy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for comprehensive patient care while performing essential nursing duties in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• 2-10 hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• 2-8 hour shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Total of 36 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform vital sign checks and blood glucose checks independently
• Provide care for an adult to geriatric patient population
• Participate in pre/post-operative care, circulation, and technical support for various procedures
• Assist with ERCP, bronchoscopy, EBUS procedures, colonoscopy, and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
• Effectively utilize unit systems such as Pyxis and Epic

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with ERCP, ERCP with Spy Glass, bronchoscopy, EBUS procedures, colonoscopy, EGD, and ION procedure is mandatory
• Ability to adhere to the hard stop, managing pre/post, circulate, and tech responsibilities

Staffing Information

• Census Ratio: 1:2 with 3 procedure rooms and 11 beds; average daily census of 20
• Mandatory weekend work: 2-3 weekends per contract
• Call requirements: 1 weekday call per week and 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
• Holiday coverage: Required to work major holidays as specified

Compliance and Orientation

• Full compliance with required documents is necessary to start on schedule
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g. 8 hours for an 8-week assignment)
