Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown Cardiac

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Stepdown Cardiac care. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a cardiac stroke center environment, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Cardiac unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in electronic health records.

Work Schedule

The position requires a commitment to work three nights per week in a 12-hour shift format (19:00 – 07:30) and participate in every third weekend rotation. Block schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Possession of an active single state or compact nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Stepdown or Telemetry nursing.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.
